I am the old-style hand craftsman that people say no longer exists. My creations are
all designed and built by me personally, and given the greatest care in every step of
their genesis.
Boxes inspire curiosity. It is nearly impossible to approach a well executed box and
not peek inside to see what secrets it may contain. Happily for us box builders, we
can often take artistic liberties with form to design boxes that inspire function.
I am inspired in my designs by the shapes and forms that I see in the world around
me. Following in the footsteps of 2000 years of woodworkers, it is difficult to say that
anything I do is truly 'original' …. I prefer to believe that my designs are inspired by
nature and the great artists who have proceeded me.
Some would say that I am a meticulous person by nature, an artist who demands that
every detail be correct and proper. Working in wood appeals to this aspect of my
spirit, wood is a tactile medium meant to be touched and caressed. Creating wooden
boxes gives me a lovely tactile material to express my concepts of form, function and
fine detail.
My work is designed and built to last for generations, truly heirloom quality. You can
have absolute confidence that I'll stand behind any work you purchase from my
